At the German Center for Mental Health, 27 institutions at six locations conduct research on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental illnesses. The partner site Berlin-Potsdam focuses on risk models, community health care, infrastructures for clinical trials and supports related research activities.

The Research Group Data Management is involved in the DZPG Digital & Computational Health platform which facilitates data management, big data analytics /machine learning and computational modeling. The Computational Platform aims at integrating longitudinal, social diversity and treatment response data into computational models of behavior which are used to translate, and back-translate, basic research into personalized prevention and treatment. The responibilities of the Research Group Date Management comprise the compute infrastructure, cloud platforms, federated analysis frameworks, establishment of the DZPG meta-database and sharing platform, data management plans and data access and transfer.

The BIH Center of Digital Health also operates the One Touch Pipeline (OTP), an automated NGS data managing and processing system, which is the central data management platform for large scale genomics.
